1. When the going gets tough – what happens to collaboration?
I’ve written before about collaboration. It’s well documented that collaboration works. More is always achieved through the cohesive combination of numerous people’s efforts than through a solo approach. However, there are times when it is difficult to collaborate.

Recently I was trying to find where it was first said that after 10 years somebody was an overnight success (or words to that effect). There’s a lot of truth packed into that short phrase. A common request of Eagle's Flight is to promote collaboration and teamwork between departments within organisations. Organisations want participants of our sessions to see that without each other they cannot be successful. Participants are given the opportunity to step back and see the bigger picture of which they are part.

1. Celebrating Success
I’ve had the pleasure of attending two family graduation ceremonies in recent weeks. What struck me at both is the number of people graduating in absentia. Now this isn’t to say that all students doing this aren’t celebrating success in a different way, but it did make me consider the importance of celebrating success.
If success isn’t celebrated, what is the point? Particularly if you are leading a team, how do you keep a team motivated if you don’t acknowledge and celebrate successes?
