1. When the going gets tough – what happens to collaboration?
I’ve written before about collaboration. It’s well documented that collaboration works. More is always achieved through the cohesive combination of numerous people’s efforts than through a solo approach. However, there are times when it is difficult to collaborate.
2. The time-lag between effort and reward.
Recently I was trying to find where it was first said that after 10 years somebody was an overnight success (or words to that effect). There’s a lot of truth packed into that short phrase. We rarely if ever see the graft that goes into success. Delivering on a truly fantastic project in the workplace does not happen overnight.

So who are the people organisations will look to develop or promote in 2013? What makes a good leader? It's a question often asked and many people will differ in their answers.
2. Avoiding Outcome Based Goals for 2013!
Most people use the start of a new year to reflect on what's happened in the preceding year and set their goals for the coming one. It's a reflection that I personally enjoy. Perhaps you are having such a reflection today. Many people doing this today will write down what they want to achieve in 2013.

A common request of Eagle's Flight is to promote collaboration and teamwork between departments within organisations. Organisations want participants of our sessions to see that without each other they cannot be successful. Participants are given the opportunity to step back and see the bigger picture of which they are part.
